"Music mainlines emotion. All the ache of every heart ever broken, all the yearning for what should be but isn't,
all the ecstasy of falling in love, ride the tide of a handful of chords."

HERE'S WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT OUR NEW CD "Made From Scratch:"
The sound of Hot Tamale is crisp and clean, thanks mainly to singer Adrian Fogelin’s vocal clarity and Joan Baez-ian control.
Mark Hinson, Music Columnist, Tallahassee Democrat 10/26/12
An interesting and well-written collection of songs. Some fine guitar playing and the vocals are right on pitch.
Gordon Scott, owner of Gordon’s String Music, former member of J.D.Crowe and the Kentucky Mountain Boys
“If You Want Me To”: A fine slice of Americana about love and devotion. The images that the lyrics project are both jarring and heartwarming. An excellent title track for your ears.
“The Way I Do”: Lots of fun! This Hot Tamale offering is hot for sure! A good-time fun song with an excellent bluesy dance groove…catchy and contagious
“Easy”: A lovely ballad with hints of Emmylou and Americana…Pulls the listener in as the song clearly paints a poignant picture of life…
A wonderful song indeed!
“Crazy Blue”: delightful 50s-ish pop style offering with a very enticing melody… though Hot Tamale does not offer an answer to the conundrum of love, you can still sing along on the chorus.
John L. Stevens, Associate Professor of Songwriting at Berklee College of Music, author of The Songs of John Lennon: the Beatles Years
